What are Continuing Education Credits (CECs)
Continuing Education is a means by which professionals continue to learn beyond the foundational education they earned in pursuit of their careers. Continuing education or professional development is required in many fields, including nutrition.
Approved Continuing Education programs are those that are in alignment with NANP Educational Standards.
Please Note: Only programs pre-approved by the NANP are eligible for NANP-required CECs.

Attend NANPs Annual Conference- HEALCon
The premier educational conference for holistic nutrition professionals and students. Nationally acclaimed speakers, amazing organic & sustainably grown foods, and networking opportunities draw holistic practitioners from around the globe.
Attendees will have the chance to earn twelve (12) CECs while at the conference, and the remaining nine (9) CECs can be earned by completing and submitting the session’s FREE corresponding quiz.

NANP members have access to a wide variety of approved programs that have been meticulously vetted to meet the educational standards set for continuing education.

NANP Annual Conference Learning Sessions
Need to earn CECs to renew your Professional membership or to maintain your Board Certification? Recordings of past NANP conference lectures are a convenient way to earn CECs from the comfort of your home or office in 3 easy steps.
Step 1: Click on the button below and search the Learning Center for a HEALCon Lecture that you are interested in.
Step 2: Add the lecture to your cart and complete the checkout process.
Step 3: Find your lecture in your myNANP classroom, listen to it, and then take the quiz. Your continuing education credits will be automatically awarded and will be reflected in your myNANP dashboard.
That’s it! Your results will be sent to us automatically. There’s nothing else for you to do!

Each month, our Educational Specialist brings some of the latest information during The Scoop Masterclass. Each masterclass is filled with cutting-edge topics delivered by industry experts.
The Scoop masterclass is available for free to all members to watch. Accompanying quizzes are each worth one (1) CEC. This is an affordable and straightforward way to earn your continuing education credits.

Are you a great writer? Would you like the chance to be published in NANP’s e-newsletter, Nourishing Bytes?
We’re seeking well-written, organized articles for potential placement in Nourishing Bytes, which is distributed to over 16,000 holistic health professionals, students, and enthusiasts.
Attend NANP Approved In-Person Events
We have a wide variety of schools, partners, and educators who offer live seminars and events that have been approved for NANP continuing education credits (CECs). You can find live events in your membership dashboard under the events tab. Simply follow the registration links and submit your attendance certificate for credit.

Continuing Education Credits Roll Over Policy & Due Dates
If you exceed CEC requirements, extra CECs will roll over at renewal and be applied to the following year’s membership term. CECs that rollover will be valid for 2 (two) years from your CEC completion date.
All CECs will be due at the time of membership renewal. Members who have earned a credential through the NANP, the additional CECs required to maintain that credential will be due at the time of membership renewal, despite the re-credential date.
