Why Normal Bone Density Scores Aren’t Good Enough

April 15, 2021 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

What is healthy bone? It is simply bone that lacks disease, or is it something more?

In this session, Founder of Functional Diagnostic Nutrition®, Reed Davis breaks down the way bone health and risk are currently assessed, showing only those already on a disease path or at high risk are recommended for evaluation. Established ranges for bone health are frequently too wide to provide meaningful insight, and the scan is often done too late to prevent or reverse bone damage.

Can we assess bone health differently? Ultimately, osteoporosis and other degenerative bone conditions are not unpredictable. We only have to look as far as genetics coupled with lifestyle choices, like poor nutrition or lack of exercise, to identify those at risk much earlier than a traditional bone density test would be administered.

With the right interventions, as part of an FDN DRESS for Health Success Program, bone degeneration leading too conditions like osteoporosis may be preventable.

With good nutrition, dynamic exercise, and targeted supplementation, we can help clients not just avoid bone disease but actually cultivate robust bone health throughout their lives.

In this presentation Reed Davis will cover the following learning Objectives:
